About Sripada Chaya Ashramam

Brief History of the Sripada Chaya Ashramam

Introduction:

Sripada Chaya Ashramam came into existence on the 30th of December 2007 in the village of Panchdevapadu/ Panchadeva Pahad (Makthal Mandal, Mahabubnagar District, Telangana, India) / Kuruvapuram.  Panchadevapadu is the holy place where Lord Sripada Srivallabha used to conduct darbar in order to relieve his devotees of their grief and troubles. Kuruvapuram is the holy place where the Lord underwent on deep meditation/ penance.

Lord Sripada Srivallabha sent a metaphysical message to his devotees to make a padayatra (journey on foot) of about 1450 kilometres via the way touching the five Datta Kshetras
  • Pithapuram
  • Gangapur
  • Akkalkot
  • Maniknagar
  • Shirdi
As per the message given by Lord Sripada and as per the direction of Sri Gupta Mahraj (guru ji of Sripathi Swamy), Sripathi Swamy, the present head of Sripada Chaya Ashramam along with few other devotees started the journey on the vijayadashami day of the year 2007, carrying the palanquin with the sacred idol of Lord Sripada Srivallabha and finally reached Kuruvapuram/ Panchadevapadu on the Data Jayanti day - 30th of December 2007.

Sripathi Swamy started the annadanam on the very same day and since then it has been continuing with the blessings of the Lord.

Activities performed at the Ashram:

  1. Sripada Chaya Ashramam has been observing Nitya Annadanam in Panchadevapadu and Kuruvapuram to the needy and the piligrim visitors.
  2. Govu seva (feeding the cattle and taking care of them) is observed every day at Sripada Chaya Ashramam. Cow is a holy animal in the Hindu culture and performing Govu pooja every day promotes the welfare of human beings and the mother earth.
  3. Gayatri Homam & Anagha Vratam are performed once on the second Sunday of every month.
  4. Sripada Nama Japa Yagnam is performed twice a year with the objective of getting timely rains to help the farmers in cultivating paddy and other food grains. Thus helping the humanity in overcoming scarcity of food grains and drought. The other objective of these maha yagnams is to save the entire East coast from severe Cyclones and powerful tempests which proved to be true.
  5. Medical Camps are organised bi-weekly and free medicines are distributed to the patients.

Activities under plan:

Ashram has plans to establish a school to impart value based education and also a hospital to provide primary health care to the people who live in and around that area.

All of this would not have been possible with out the blessings of Lord Sripada Srivallabha, the support of all the devotees who have been donating generously supporting the activities and the leadership and guidance of Sripathi Swamy.

Sripathi Swamy would like to Thank each and every one who has been instrumental in the successful running of the Ashram.

Devotees who would like to donate, can donate to the below account and submit the donation form with their details at https://sripadachaya.blogspot.in/p/donation.html
